To get the latest stories into your homepage promo reel, simply add a story to the feed titled Promo Reel.  The most recently added story will immediately populate your homepage promo reel position.  You must have a position in the promo reel assigned to the feed "Promo Reel".  Make sure you set a Featured Image.  If you don't you will have a broken icon on the homepage.
